We want to tell you about the set-up of this tree, which MEGA was part of!
When our client called us, our MEGA STRUCT 80K SERIES rapidly became the solution to create the free standing base for the 88' high Christmas tree.
We manufactured a custom column section to connect the tree to our standard components.
The truck was packed and ready to go on the job at night.
The base was assembled and put in place with a 45 ton crane.
The central custom steel truss section was 40'' square by 8' tall, in order to connect the tree to the base. We used 42 000 pounds of cement blocs, in order to achieve a 120 km/h wind resistance.
It was then time for the crane to install the 88' tall tree into the MEGA BASE.
MANY WILL SAY THIS IS NOT THE NICEST, BUT IT IS AUTHENTIC, THE HIGHEST IN CANADA AND THE 2ND HIGHEST IN AMERICA! That's not bad! Let's be proud!
